Pilot (Captain)
Upon joining, flight crew members will start on a fixed-term contract during training, transitioning to full-time status upon appointment as an Air Japan Captain. The standard retirement age is 60. Thereafter, employees may continue on annual contract renewals until age 65.

We are seeking Captain candidates who currently reside in Japan and hold unrestricted work authorization. Applicants must meet either requirement 1 or 2, and fulfill all [Common Requirements].

[Common Requirements (Licenses)]
Applicants must hold the following valid licenses and certificates issued by the Japanese government, both at the time of application and upon joining the company:
JCAB Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL)
Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate
Aviation English Language Proficiency Certificate (Level 4 or higher)
Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate
Exception for Requirements c and d: Equivalent non-JCAB licenses or certificates (e.g., Aviation English Level 4 or higher, or a Class 1 Aviation Medical equivalent) are acceptable at the time of application. However, applicants must independently obtain the official JCAB-issued certificates by October 20, 2026. Applicants who do not currently hold these JCAB certificates must provide their expected acquisition date upon application.
